The best time to strike is June 3,4,5. Harrasment week. Take 3 days off and hurt the D.O.T. revenue, but help your own. Let the shippers, and stores whine. It will only be effective when shoppers start screaming. Then you can tell the incompatent public, that hates trucks, this is how your goods get here!! Boo-hoo!! It only takes three days, been through it with a blizzard in '99.We were offered $$$$$$ to haul food, and given excemptions from scales, because cities were out of food!! Three days doesn't hurt anyone except "uncle sam". Besides it will help rebuild our oil supply......ha ha!! Same s--t different year!! This fuel increase is every year and congress says they will look into it, fuel drops a dime, then nothing else said. Until everyone shuts the trucks off, get used to it!<br>
<p>This person has a point but here lately, close to 1 year later. EVERY FRIGGEN DAY of the week is harassment week by DOT. But they will only win if you let them. Meaning keep the logs straight- cross your T's and dot your i's. Do not give them a chance to pull you into that scale or over on the side of the road. If you have no violations chances are they cannot shut you down or write tickets.<br mce_bogus="1"></p>
